> Wake up, again
[Whether you've met an unfortunately end on the SS Swift, or deep in the depths, wrapped in the crushing tentacles of the kraken... You're not there anymore. You also don't seem to be dead. Maybe. It's difficult to tell, seeing as you no longer have any of the injuries you sustained on the ship... But you're also no longer on the ship.
Your eyes awaken to a cloudless sky, and a dry, dry, desert. A weak breeze struggles to blow even the dust from the cracked earth. There isn't a drop of water for miles around.
But what is around... is a ship. About a dozen yards away from where you've awoken is a tall, two-mast galleon, beached on the wastes, listing to the right.
How did it get here? Who knows. How did YOU get here?
Might be questions for a later time, seeing as you're waking up with your murderer.
Welcome to the Locker.]

Part 2: dead pirates tell great stories
Between the many hands of the dead, they are able to pull the rope up until both captains can flop over the railing.
The captain of the Swift regards you all with the same expression he's always had: barely restrained contempt wrapped in a smile.]
So. It's been a while.
[Just as Jack says that, the ship heaves forward with a mighty splash! In the span of this little conflict, it seems the crabs had finally reached their destination: the sea.
The Queen Alice's Revenge is setting out on her maiden voyage.]

Yup... That's my cardio for a while.
[But there's one thing that lifts his spirits like nothing else.]
Hey! We're sailing! [Looks around.] Kind of? Almost? We're floating, at least! But this is great!
no subject
We're getting there! I think the crabs must be taking us to the ocean.

[This is likely going to be greatly annoying.]
I did promise that I would at least hear out what it is you have to say. I cannot guarantee patience or forgiveness on behalf of anyone, however, and it would serve you well to bear that much in mind.

[Oh boy won't it]
Let me be the first to admit, I had no idea this place was a thing.

[ WHOA okay he gets thrown off balance for a second as the ship hits the water... but then he's back and ready to interrupt everyone's conversation and take a swing at Jack's face!!!!!!! ]
This is for what you did to Alice, you bastard!!
no subject
she said she'd listen. just her. not anyone else.

[Okay, or this could be happening! He's gonna try to zip around behind Jack, to keep him off-balance if nothing else.]

but he's definitely enjoying the show.]

[This is most definitely not the first time someone's taken a wild swing at Jack, but the combination of exhaustion and rocking of the boat puts him at a one-in-a-million disadvantage.
Decus gets to punch Jack in his face. He reels back into the railing, clutching at the side of his face where the fist landed.]
Ow! What... Come on!

So it seemed like Decus could do something he approved of after all. ]
Part... 2.5?
But when John plays that funky music, so to speak, there's a distinct shift in some of them. They start to gather quickly near one end of the ship, quietly forming a pile. and that pile increases. And it rises.
And it takes human form. ]
So... here you all are. The poor souls engaged in the ritual of fire and blood, water and light.
[ The woman who stands before you grins, baring her teeth. ]
We have business, you and I, if you have an interest in saving your souls. But first... who all stands here before Calypso?
no subject
Gasp...! Wow, she's so pretty.]
Calypso darling! You made it! [Right, introductions.] Oh, goodness, sorry- I'm Sylvando!

Hi. John Constantine. Question--you're not an apparition sent by LeChuck meant to trick us and cause us to un-die in a horrible way, yes?

[Uh. Holy shit, wow, Plumeria has been kind of keeping out of this because quite frankly, she could care less about Jack. But at the very, very least, Plumeria bows out of respect.]
I am Plumeria. It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance.

What exactly are you doing here, if you're as real as you claim? I don't see why someone like you'd be interested in "saving our souls."
