> Wake up, again

[Whether you've met an unfortunately end on the SS Swift, or deep in the depths, wrapped in the crushing tentacles of the kraken... You're not there anymore. You also don't seem to be dead. Maybe. It's difficult to tell, seeing as you no longer have any of the injuries you sustained on the ship... But you're also no longer on the ship.

Your eyes awaken to a cloudless sky, and a dry, dry, desert. A weak breeze struggles to blow even the dust from the cracked earth. There isn't a drop of water for miles around.

But what is around... is a ship. About a dozen yards away from where you've awoken is a tall, two-mast galleon, beached on the wastes, listing to the right.

How did it get here? Who knows. How did YOU get here?

Might be questions for a later time, seeing as you're waking up with your murderer.

Welcome to the Locker.

I don't know what effect the Tongue of the Kraken will have, but it's almost sure to throw them off if I use it.

[The thing's loud.]

So we shoot Shard onto their ship, lure them away from what they're needed for, get close enough to let Scott board them, let them board us, set these traps, and then feign surrender to talk it out?
guffawsungraciously: kind of a neutral dutch angle? it's frowny. i'm bad at describing expressions (hey hendrik look at me.)

I wonder if it would be possible to lay traps that we can hold off on activating. It may be worth it to try and stall them as long as we can with negotiations before actually aiming for injury, after all.

Well, we can set up the alcohol or whatever in advance and just throw a match at it later when we want to, right?

That is what I was thinking, yes. We could use the flames of the burning alcohol to retreat to areas where we have set other traps should things go south.

...

Though we ought to have something else in place to ensure our ship does not catch fire, as well.

Ah... Yeah, I guess we don't have those metal doors that stopped the fire back on the other ship, huh.

No, we do not. It may be worth checking around the cannons to see if there are any fire deterrents, though, as that would be the place on the ship most endangered by fires.

I guess we could always just light something on fire and use it as a distraction, then running the risk of destroying my boat.

Well, I will leave you to procuring that, then.
